Hi all! This past weekend I traveled to Omaha, NE for Berkshire Hathaway’s annual shareholders’ meeting! For those of you that don’t know, Berkshire Hathaway is the company controlled by Warren Buffett (he is chairman, CEO and president). There were 44,000 people in attendance for the shareholders’ meeting, the largest number of people ever in attendance. This year was special because it was also the company’s 50th anniversary meeting.
I’ve never been to Omaha, so I took the opportunity of visiting for the meeting to explore the city as well! With a population of approximately 800,000, Omaha has plenty to do.

There are also trolleys and tours of the city as well as bikes for rent. For those more inclined to participate in alcohol-related activities, there is a pretty popular group bike tour, Omaha Patio Ride, that takes you around the Old Market and stops at local bars along the way.
For a family friendly activity, the Omaha Zoo is the place to go, ranked best in the world by Tripadvisor last year!
