The romantic town of Sintra, Portugal, engulfed in a cloak of fog.
Sintra was often visited by the royal family during the summer months when they stayed at Pena National Palace, but it has its own enchanting appeal even in the less popular months. This picture was taken on one rainy, early November day, though the rest of my trip to Portugal was filled with warmth and sunshine.
Sintra is a short, one hour drive from Lisbon, and a must-see if in Portugal. It is also a UNESCO World Heritage site.
