The whirlwind that is New York Fashion Week for Spring/Summer 2016 is over! Although I was only in NYC for half of it (I was on the NCL cruise for the other half), I was fortunate enough to have friends in the blogging world who were able to attend some of the events on my behalf. One of those events was Daniel Silverstain‘s stunning, provocative and colorful SS16 show.
Today’s post is a guest post from my good friend and a fabulous chef, Jenny (blogging at Good Cooking Good Looking), who attended the Daniel Silverstain show on behalf of Damask Suitcase.
Review
Daniel Silverstain kicked off New York Fashion Week a bit early with his SS16 presentation on the morning of Wednesday, September 9. Inspired by the 1967 World Fair in Montreal and the city’s modern architecture, the collection featured gorgeous metallic leather, delicious geometric patterns, and splashes of primary colors on flowing white fabrics. Each look was styled with futuristic hair and makeup, including a touch of silver under the eyes. The collection is filled with pieces perfectly wearable for the modern city girl and exudes a freshness like a summer breeze. With so much to love from Daniel Silverstain’s SS16 collection, I wish it were spring and summer all over again.
