Happy Monday lovelies! I had a busy weekend mostly working for the day job, unfortunately, but I was at least able to reminisce about more fun times thinking about my recent trip to Long Island’s North Fork. I could probably spend the rest of my days sipping wine at vineyards. Wine tasting is one of my favorite things to do, and ever since I’ve moved to NY I’ve gone wine tasting at least once a year, either in the finger lakes region of New York or in the North Fork of Long Island.
Here are some of my favorite vineyards in case you are headed that way for the fall harvest!
Martha Clara Vineyards: The pictures with my MakeMeChic outfit below were shot at Martha Clara vineyards, and you can obviously see why. The property has the MOST beautiful sun flower fields, not to mention farm animals and outdoor games. It’s a fun vineyard and the perfect first stop on your way into the North Fork, as it’s also further west than some of the other popular spots (and my favorites).
Raphael: Raphael is a beautiful space, from the exterior of the winery’s building to the rows of vineyards and surrounding open space. It has many award-winning wines and there is often live music during the warmer months.
Pindar Vineyards: Pindar is uber popular in the North Fork, where it has garnered a reputation for spectacular wines. The vineyard also has food for purchase and is a place where you could spend a few hours drinking a bottle, enjoying live music and eating lunch.
Pugliese Vineyards: Pugliese is a vineyard I always spend a lot of time at. There is a gorgeous vine-covered seating area as well as a quaint koi pond. I also love some of their wines – try the Bella Maria for sure if you love slightly sweeter wines.
Duck Walk Vineyards: I’ve been to both locations of Duck Walk on Long Island (the other being in the Hamptons) but I prefer the North Fork location. The wines are the same at both, and I like Duck Walk’s wines for their creativity. They have a blackberry wine and a blueberry port wine, which I buy multiple bottles of each time I go. I also love their Gatsby Red wine.
Lieb Cellars Tasting Room: When I go wine tasting I always keep in mind a place to go that is open late, because once I start wine tasting, I want to keep visiting different vineyards but most close around 5-6pm! Lieb Cellars is open until 7pm and has a super cute patio and a cozy indoor area with couches to hang out once you have exhausted the other North Fork vineyards. Their wine is good and the smaller size of the tasting room makes for a comfortable and homey last stop in Long Island’s North Fork. This place was a discovery from my most recent trip to North Fork and I will definitely be visiting again!
Finally, I’m finishing up this North Fork post with a few shots of my lovely floral and yellow off the shoulder dress from MakeMeChic! It was the perfect feminine touch for a day out in the sun and amongst the sun flowers, and its also totally affordable!

I’m already planning another fall trip to the North Fork before the grapes are all gone. I hope you all get a chance to sip some of Long Island’s fabulous wine soon! XOXO
