San Francisco! What a blast this past weekend was celebrating one of my longest known friends and her now hubby! I’ve been to SF many times from my days growing up in Southern California but every time I visit I discover something new. My usual favorite touristy spots will never change, from hot chocolate in Ghiradelli Square to shopping in Union Square, to Fisherman’s Wharf, Chinatown (the oldest in North America) and Alcatraz Island. Lately, however, I’ve been even more intrigued by the various areas of San Francisco and their individual unique personalities. I love exploring the Mission District and it’s funky vibes and walking the many hills.
This trip I spent a lot of time in Nob Hill and Potrero Hill, two totally different areas of SF. Nob Hill reminds me a lot of Notting Hill in England, very posh, sophisticated and pretty. Potrero Hill, on the other hand, is fairly residential, with charming houses and families roaming the streets on the weekends, especially around the location of Plow, one of the top 10 brunch spots (so good!) in San Francisco located in the area.
Because I stayed at Le Meridian in the Financial District this trip, I was also able to take a short walk to the water for those gorgeous water views and enjoy the delish dining in the area. The SF dining scene has really evolved over the past few years and there are so many other places I can’t wait to try on my next trip!
