The sun will come outtt, for Mother’s Day! [picture that in the voice of Annie :P] That’s exactly how I felt this past Sunday when after what felt like forever of a week of rain, wind and general grey all around, the clouds parted and the sun stretched through for a warm and wonderful Mother’s Day in NYC. Thank goodness that warmth is continuing on to this week, and it is finally starting to feel like spring in NYC. I can’t be happier to actually wear spring florals and colors.
For Mother’s Day brunch with my family, I paired this fun Free People spring dress with a casual jean jacket and bright red lace-up heels to finish the look. Continuing with the girly but casual vibe of the outfit, I opted to accessorize with a watch and change up my look a little, rather than sticking to my go to accessory of bracelets. I love stepping out of my ordinary and experimenting with styles and items that I don’t wear regularly. Plus, it’s nice to not have to constantly check your cell phone on Mother’s Day when you are wearing a stylish watch!
Hope you all had a lovely Mother’s Day weekend with your moms and children! XOXO
