Hello loves! Back again with another travel post for you all! Today, I’m focusing on France. Since it’s now the end of tourist season in Europe, what better time to check out one of its best, France? Paris in the fall is beautiful. As I’ve mentioned in previous posts, I consider France to be one of the great countries of Europe. Below is a list of 5 truly unique ways to explore the country further.
- Get an Adrenalin Rush in Chamonix-Mont-Blanc
Chamonix-Mont-Blanc is a stunning resort on the French border with Switzerland. It’s best known for its hiking opportunities and skiing resorts. It’s also home to the highest summit of the Alps. You can take a cable car to the top and marvel at the views you get of the surrounding area. There is also plenty to do to make it an adrenalin-fueled holiday. There’s no better resort for skiing, even if you’re a beginner. If you are a more experienced skier, take on the longest black run in Europe, La Sarenne.
- Take a Biarritz Beach Holiday
Located on the Basque coast in the southwest of the country, Biarritz is one of the most popular holiday destinations in France. It’s known for being popular with royalty and famous people from around the world. But that doesn’t mean it’s not a great destination for ordinary people like you and me! It has lots of great bars and clubs along the coast as well as casinos.
Tip: If you want to cut down the costs of staying in Biarritz, try this website that has affordable French holiday rentals.
- Explore the Champagne Region
The region of France that produces Champagne is known the world over. It’s located in the northeast of the country and is centered around the towns of Reims and Epernay. This is where the biggest Champagne brands can be found and explored (Mercier, Mumm and Moët, to name a few). But it’s not all about the big Champagne producers. There are many smaller, mom and pop producers that are just as good. In addition, the area’s scenic driving routes are wonderful.
- Travel the Seine
There’s no more relaxing way to explore France than via the River Seine. You can start off your journey in the middle of the country’s capital city, Paris. From there, you can travel a huge part of the country by the river and see it from a completely unique angle. Northern France is a gem, and traveling the Seine River by boat will take you all the way up to Normandy. Don’t forget to visit the D-Day landing beaches and the WWII graves located nearby when you reach Normandy, a historic treat.
- See the Art in Paris
Going back hundreds of years, Paris has been one of the cultural epicenters of Europe and the world. This remains as true today as ever before. There are endless galleries depicting the rich history of French art through the ages. There are also plenty of modern art galleries as well if that’s more your thing. The best of them is the Centre Pompidou. It carries groundbreaking exhibitions throughout the year. If you like films, the city has one of the best cinemas around too, the Cinémathèque Française.
